About Me

So, this journey has happened rather quickly and has taken me by surprise somewhat. Since my late teens and my first experiments with lifting weight I idolised the pin-ups of Muscle & Fitness, Muscle Media and similar magazines. John Kesler, Franke Sepe, Bill Davey, Mike O'Hearn etc. Training was always something i enjoyed but i never chased the dream of a cover models physique too hard. I was realistic and i had other hobbies, careers and interests. I spent 10 years DJing professionally in the UK and got very accustomed to the camera during that time, as well as performing in front of large crowds! I retired to pursue a more realistic long term career of Personal Trainer (and now also a "Strength Coach") and since then the training obsession has grown 5 fold. In May 2011 I got on stage for the first time at Bodypower (The UK's largest Fitness expo) as well as meeting idols such as Rob Riches and Roger Snipes, I won my competition and was bitten by the bug. Thus followed a few professional shoots, another competition on a larger stage in Ireland for NIFMA, more shoots and a win as "Muscle Model" at the Miami Pro on April 1st 2012 (in St Albans, UK) which is the biggest show of its kind in the UK. Following this achievement, i decided to try to gain WBFF Pro Status - as believed that they are the largest and most respected organisation in the world for Fitness Models. I competed at Fitness Atlantic/WBFF on April 14th in front of a crowd of over 1000 and came first in Fitness Model and second in Muscle Model! Thus attaining my pro-card and a ticket to the Worlds in August 2012. Suffice to say this whole experience made me rather happy! I suppose they key driver has always been the inspiration and motivation i have received from looking at other fitness icons; the male physique has always been a thing of beauty (aesthetic, not sexual) to me and i consider mine a sculpture that i'm always chipping away at! Sounds contrived but that's how it is to me. Always room for improvement!
