About Me

She has the whit of Janis Joplin, the soulful eye of Herb Ritts, the fashion sense of Kate Hudson, the spunk of a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, and the grace of Dolly Parton. Jody Domingue has had a camera at her fingertips since she was 13 which lead to a lifelong journey of photography. After studying at the Art Institute of Houston and receiving her degree in Graphic Design, seasoned photographer Jody Domingue continued her studies at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Upon completion, Domingue came south where she opened her first professional studio in the heart of Hollywood in 2008. Since then her list of clients are as eclectic as her taste in music ranging from legends like The Doors, and Bootsy Collins to more recent sensations like LMFAO and Steve Aoki. Domingue has shot for music festivals such as SXSW, Coachella, Austin City Limits, Stagecoach, Kanrocksas which included performers, The Black Keys, Bass Nectar, Muse, The Flaming Lips, The  Kills, Muse and many more. Domingue has also been featured in publications such as Music Connection, US Weekly, and Playboy Magazine.

Domingue’s photography has been seen on over 150 billboards in Los Angeles including campaigns for Big Sexy Hair and her notorious “Heather Morris for Ed Hardy” shots which boasted her images above the infamous Sunset Strip and along Fairfax Ave. She is the PDN winner of the 2009 Independent Music Album Cover Award and the 2011 Winner of the Ultimate Music Moment. She is an active advocate for the Wednesday’s Child segments on the Fox 11 News, which helps teens find foster homes in Los Angeles.

Jody routinely ventures between Texas and Los Angeles, integrating into her works the distinctive styles and techniques that influence her southern sassy charm.. With experience and talent like this, it’s refreshing to know that any photo request is in safe and loving hands.  “Everything  homegrown is bigger and better from Texas!”
