About Me

The Story of Island of Pink
As a designer at heart, I started my career at a young age of four. I won the coloring contest for Tropicana when my mom entered me. I have always made my own shirts, accessories, and trends. I was constantly thinking of new projects to "fix-up" or "DIY” I studied Interior Design for four years and graduated from high school with a scholarship from it. I tried out Mary Kay for a year, but it just wasn't pink enough. After taking a break from modeling, I decided I needed a new passion.

Since I loved cupcakes, I thought about starting a bakery.

Margie, in a kitchen........not so much.

I doodled some names of businesses that had to do with pink and cupcakes for a couple hours, then googled all of them.

POOF! Island of Pink, the only name on my list that wasn't taken yet. I loved it! So what to sell now? Since I want jewelry, I knew all my girlfriends did too...maybe I could sell enough inexpensive jewelry to afford the high fashion stuff. I went to the store and got enough stuff to make 100 pairs of earrings and sold them, traded them, & gave them away for Christmas.

It was getting harder and harder to find cupcake beads cuter than the last set I bought. I found polymer clay cupcakes were trending and I signed up for the class at the local art center. I was obsessed. I could do anything, customizable like no other craft medium available.

Well.....................This is just the beginning.

My best friend, Heather Howard helps me make everything at the Island of Pink Factory! She loves Hello Kitty, living on Anna Maria Island, biking, sunglasses, the beach, and works as a preschool teacher. You can find her cutting out cupcakes for the kids to color on any given day! :)

We have dreams of a real glittery, sparkly, hot pink island somewhere. Get ready, it WILL be shaped like a cupcake.

"The world is but a canvas to the imagination" -Henry David Thoreau

I model for my Fashion business, work as a Hooters girl, have experience in TV Broadcasting, and releasing my new DVD about the secrets of Polymer Clay soon.
Please message me with rates about using me for any Print or Broadcasting gigs.
