Monnie Nyahn was born in August 17, 1984 and a native of Liberia, Monrovia. In 2005 she and her family moved to Boston, MA. Growing up she was a "tomboy" and not interested in make up, hair, let alone fashion until one day on a Subway in Boston she was approached by a talent agent that saw through the oversized sweat pants and t-shirt - she saw Monnie's modeling potential and invited her to the studio for a make-over. She later recommended she shoot with a renowned photographer Kim Kennedy in Boston. After her first photo shoot she was bitten by the modeling bug.

Monnie moved to Tulsa, OK in 2007 to further her education at Oral Roberts University. She is a Nursing major and Environmental Science minor.
Nyahn has become an avid fan of America's Next Top Model and supermodel Oluchi Onweagba and Noami Campbell.

Currently, Monnie is looking to finish school, continue to build her portfolio, and pursue modeling on a full-time basis. She is prepared to travel worldwide for assignments provided travel expenses are paid in advance.
