You'll end up with two shadows.

1. Raise the light so the shadow falls lower

2. Move the model further in front of the background

3. Diffuse the by shooting through a white sheet or garbage bag stretched. Be sure to keep it at least 3 feet from lights to avoid fire!!

4. Use a spell chech. Chekr. Chker. Checker

5. Use a bounce board to bounce light back on her left side. This will lighten up the shadows without introducing more and will also lower the contrast of the lighting.

I should just reply instead of editing my posts. wink

You are welcome.

btw: I am assuming you are referring to the second photo in your portfolio?

First go to school and learn to spell right. You will need it to write model releases, and contracts, or use spell check.

Then Use two lights and place one of them at about 45 degrees from the model on either side of the camera, and fill with another light or a reflector from the other side. Use a soft box or any of the methods proposed above. Or bounce it off a white wall.

But seriously, the spelling thing, you need to work on that as well.

Shadows are my friend. I like shadows. So do fashion magazines, for the most part. smile

Haven't heard too much about Shure since CD's replaced LP's. The V15 type III was a killer cartridge in its day.

Try moving your subject off the background.

Though shadows aren't a bad thing.

Here is a Christy to English translation.

When I'm typing quickly I don't pay attention, but when it counts I spell correctly. My typing sucks worse than my spelling.

I am a photographer, not a secretary! Oops, did I spell that incorrectly?

edit: Your typing is not bothersome, however It will serve you well to take more care with what you type. You don't want to keep typing like you are having cybersex in a chat room or something... smile

Truthfully, no. You get your point across just fine.

However, since many photographers are nerdy, geeky, engineer-types by heart (Myself included), they enjoy pointing out typos and offering cures that are worse than the disease in the form of jokes and puns at the mis-speller's expense.
