This is a remote trigger I'm thinking about purchasing and I was wondering if any one here has used this low cost remote?
If you have, I am interested in your thoughts on it.
BTW low cost is the operative phrase here. wink

I've used them. For the price, they're not bad as long as you can accept an average range and success rate, especially outdoors. Their quality control isn't the best either, so you'll get a wide variation in responses, including some people who love them.

I decided to upgrade to professional grade triggers pretty quickly and in retrospect, I wish I had gone for them straight away. I use Elinchrom Skyports, but if you can wait a while and get the Alien Bees Cybersync triggers, that might be a good solution - from what I've seen, they seem to be the best compromise between price and quality.

I have bought and used similar ones for even less money and they work well.  For the cost get two or three units for back up.

Ebay remotes require small mod to make them work better. Idea is to add antenna to to the transmitter. Check strobist group on flickr

I used a couple of these to fire my SB800's they work OK but what you will find is that your speed light will go to sleep and you will have to fire one frame to wake it up. When you do this you might miss a shot!

I have used this type of trigger and it works well for the price. One thing I did notice is that they will fire for no apparent reason, I guess they catch some stray radio waves or something.
