November 28, 2009 3:53pm Yes, this is quite a touching image. Painterly...with a sense of personal martyrdom, maybe? I can't quite recall the name of the photographer of whose work it is reminiscent, but she did a series of self-portraits in the early 90s , in which she reinvisioned landmark paintings throughout history with herself as the subject.
How do you do you set the focus on your self-portraits, by the by? Self-capture on an slr has stumped me for ages! it is a nightmare...which makes me even more impressed with this. x
