About Me

I am a professional hairstylist with more than 27 years of experience working in various aspects such as commercials, film, television and print. I have worked locally, nationally and internationally.

After receiving my college education in commercial art in Vancouver I moved to Toronto and pursued training professionally as a hairstylist. I completed my training in 1982 and began working full time in various top salons in downtown Toronto. With my extensive and diverse background in creative arts I rapidly established a reputation as an innovative hairstylist. I became part of a creative team and was responsible for brainstorming and designing new looks for the studio’s hip and trendy clientele.

I began freelancing in 1994, having built a strong bedrock of knowledge and expertise. Since then I have been combining my work on salon clients with a wide-range of projects such as film, television, award shows, theatre, fashion, commercials, music shows, music videos and print. Committed to my craft I am constantly experimenting, researching and anticipating future trends as well.

I am interested in creating an entirely new portfolio ranging from beauty shots, period reproduction, high glamour to fantasy. I'm looking for stunning professional shots.

I have styled such celebrities as Megan Fox, Kim Catrall, Terrence Howard and 50Cent among others. My credits include feature films such as Killshot, Hairspray, Honey, Against the Ropes and American Psycho. Some of my television credits include ReGenesis, Soul Food, Cold Squad, The Rez and Witchblade. I am also hair designer for the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards for the past 3 years.

Are you interested in non-paid work? We would of course provide a CD of your pics. We have a photoshoot coming up July 9 for a Canadian up and coming jewellery designer who is looking to create a lookbook. The editorial shoot will take place on Bremnar on the 56th floor of a condo on a beautiful balcony space overlooking the water. The designer is looking to do a braid because the model should have her hair up to show off the jewellery.

This fashion show is a big publicized show, showcasing her designs from her line Mo'knotic. There will be over 15 buyers from different stores, Rogers television and much much more media exposure. The designer is looking for a group of make-up/ hair stylist so volunteer there time in making this production what it is.
