My name is Mark Crofts and I am a semi-professional photographer. I have been involved with photography for over 10 years and have an ambition to become a self-employed professional portrait photographer. It’s my dream and has been for a long time.
I have taken several courses to further my experience and knowledge of the subject including editing with Photoshop, studio and natural lighting, film processing and developing and other courses from various colleges. My portfolio has been growing to a respectable level which is why I would greatly like the opportunity to work with individuals like myself who own a number of unique skills and talents to create stunning photographs. Recently I have been on several photo shoots with models looking for professional pictures to add to their portfolios without paying substantial amounts of money to gain the desired results.
My main reason for joining Model Mayhem is to build up my portfolio with a new style of photography using the knowledge and experience from make-up artists, wardrobe and hair stylists etc, to gain more confidence and generate new ideas to eventually set up a professional studio.
The second reason for wanting to join MM is to create contacts with others in the industry, asking advice and for them to critique my work in order for me to improve.
