About Me

My name is Daniel, and I am a photogrpaher based in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. I've been a working photographer for the last 19 years, but took a break from photographing Modeling Portfolios for about seven years in order to focus on Landscape and Scenic Photography.

Needless to say, I missed photographing people, so I went back in that direction, and have assembled a small (but VERY effective) Photography Crew in the process!

Let me be honest and straightforward:
I am a PHOTOGRAPHER. I am an individual who uses light and shadow in conjunction with the model to capture a memorable image. I have studied my craft, and have worked with a variety of lighting styles, ranging from artificial, natural, and ambient. I know how to set up a studio, how to work with anywhere between one and 12 strobes, how to integrate natural and artificial light, and most importantly, how to use a light meter. Additionally, I use Photoshop as a tool to polish my images, not create something that isn't or never was. Though this may sound snobbish, I feel there are too many people out there who buy a camera, set it to "Auto", use creative Photoshop plug-ins and automate the work. I do not feel this defines a photographer. These people, by my standards, are Graphic Artists, Program Users, or just a "GWC" (Guy/Girl With Camera). Though it is easier to automate and let the computer do the work (or in a lot of recent HDR cases, let the camera bracket and let the HDR program balance it out), I feel this does not constitute "Photography" in the traditional sense. If you are looking for the quick cartoony-fix, I am not the person you ar elooking for. However, if you are looking for the synthesis of classic photography techniques and modern technological applications, you have definitely come to the right place!

I am looking to meet anybody with a sense of creativity who is looking to blend classic with contemporary. Females of all ages, colors and varieties are welcome for various styles of photography . Although I will not turn male clientelle away and am willing to do a session, my forte is female photography.

I am looking to network with other photographers and studios who may be interested in doing business together. Photography styles include Traditional Portraiture (both Singles and Couples), Glamour / Fashion (Including Product Modeling), Artistic Semi- or Suggested-nude, Light Erotic, Light Fetish, and Dark (read: Gothic) photography.

Although I have photographed nudes, I prefer they to be tasteful, NOT pornographic. Nude sessions are done on a case by case basis, usually by referral only. Though I tend to prefer a location shoot, I am not opposed to actual studio sessions.

TFP and TFCD sessions are not part of my schedule; I am a professional, and would rather not play the "Photograph me, and it would benefit BOTH of our portfolios" game. I have a pool of regular models that I use for TFP/TFCD shoots, and do not need any more (thanks!).

I work with both Film and Digital media, depending on the needs of a particular shoot, and work in both Color and Black & White finish, with an emphasis on Digital Presentation, not to mention great rates and a friendly and fun crew.

Thanks for taking the time to view the portfolio!
