I LIVE IN SURREY not Vancouver. I graduated with a diploma in graphic arts in my 20s. I have studied photography, modeling techiques, business advertising, and have an artistic background as well. Photography back then was just a serious hobby. Then, when my family came along, all was forgotten and I became busy raising that family. I accidentally got back into photography when I took some pictures of a young lady; the rest is history. NOTE: I AM NOT MAKING A LIVING from photography nor do I intend too. No need to now... I retired very early and have been seriously shooting for eight years. I am quite happy with my home life and want to keep it that way.
As I find myself getting older my shoots are much more selective now.
I have no illusions of becoming a famous photographer just one who is fun to work with...I hope. I have done a number of weddings to help out young couples who could not really afford a photographer to give them quality photos and have helped many Newbies and aspiring models with their portfolios with teaching them the finer points on modeling. I fine great satisfaction in that and I am enjoying what I do. The bonus is I get to meet all kinds of interesting people.
Also I travel to Victoria frequently so I am always looking for models. Love shooting there. I really like combining software and photos to create a photographic story. Still do the occasional wedding too.
ATTENTION:If you want Goth, fetish, and anything kind of dark/ creepy stuff find another photographer! I will do Implied/ Nude shots with models that interest me as long it is artistic/sensual and not just for the sake of it. I really enjoy working with the models who are just starting out so I plan to do a number of TF* shoots now. I teach them modeling techniques and I love it when they catch on and really start to get into the shoot cause "they get it". It all makes more sense to them once they understand the reason why it is done that way.
I DO NOT SHOOT WITH THOSE UNDER 19 YEARS USUALLY.
NOTE: If you want to bring an ESCORT that is alright with me as long as they are not hovering over me in the shooting area. I do not need to put up with interference. They can read a book or something. No Escorts in the shooting area when I do Implied/ Upper nude. Its one on one or the MUA with us.
I also like to show my models pictures of the shoot as it progresses. I find they appreciate this tremendously and learn quicker. Sometimes the models come up with some great ideas or want to redo a pose. Then we both benefit.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you cancel on me the day before a shoot don't even think about applying for another shoot with me unless you were really sick or its the weather.
If you are yawning and seem disinterested I will end the shoot, pack my bags, and walk away. I am getting older and consequently cannot afford to waste my time on a "model" who shows no interest. You are not doing me a favour. Its the other way around.
I prefer my models
at least 5' 5" mimimum. That is why I post a height requirement.!
I generally stay away from models with large tattoos and always multiple piercings. You will not find them in my portfolio.
Also I DO NOT "pursue" a model to do a shoot. If she LOSES TOUCH with me or does not answer back to my email then I always have a replacement or other project to go on to or will put out ANOTHER CASTING CALL. I get numerous inquiries and cannot keep tabs on everyone.
