Empyrean Studio

I started out as a graphic designer and illustrator, got into 3D/CGI, and am now starting to get more into photography and animation/film.  I've been bumping around the design/digital art scene for a long time now so my skillset is pretty broad.  So broad that I usually have a hard time trying to describe EXACTLY what it is I do.

GRAPHIC/WEBSITE DESIGN:
This is what I've beem doing, professionally, the longest.  My bread and butter.  I don't usually like doing print design anymore (I've really had my fill), ineractive (website) design is where my interest lies currently.

ILLUSTRATION:
I'm a multimedia artist, which I take to mean I use more than one type of media (digital or not) to complete a project. I use digital photographs, scanned inks, 3D models, and whatever else I can lay my hands on and mash them up in my computer to form something that pleases me. I’ve been drawing since I was four, but back then it was mainly pictures of myself fighting dinosaurs drawn with black marker on books about dinosaurs.

PHOTOGRAPHY:
Photography was always something I used to support my design or illustration work... I never really got into photography for its own sake.  I'm really liking it so far, but you can never take the artist out of the art.  Some may find my photos a little over processed, and I definitely have a certain dreamy, dark ethereal style that may not appeal to all.  That's OK by me.
