The whole equipment thing is overrated (even though I'm saving for the 5D MkII). When you can't take decent pictures with a 400D, you can't take them with a more expensive camera...
We'll be moving to the Brisbane area if everything goes according to plan... We're still in the whole visa process, but we'll be fine I guess ;)

Very good work mate! You don't need the most flasy equipment to deliver good work, far from it actually. I've seen people (like you) that deliver amazing work with a simple 400D (I have the same by the way) and people that screw everything up with expensive studio lighting and a 5D... Take your time, work on your stuff and go for it... You have plenty potential...
Oh, and by the way... If everything goed according to plan, I'll be your neighbor in a year. I'm moving to Oz... ;)
