ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY

My goal in taking photos is to discover the person behind the face in order to bring out both the beauty and the personality of those who I am privileged to photograph.

ABOUT MY STYLE

My photos have a unique style and feel.  I am most experienced at doing outdoor fashion/lifestyle shoots.  Please know that in general, I use natural lighting, existing lighting.  I prefer this and believe it adds to the realism of my shoots.

I am a "Photo Affiliate" of Urban Light Studios in Seattle and do shoot in this studio from time to time, particularly in the winter when Seattle's weather is less cooperative.

My photos are designed to retain and highlight a model's natural beauty.  In fact, I have been told, it is the "everyday or candid feel" to my photos that is often liked by my models.

My photographic and editing style can also be artistic.  Please keep in mind, however, that I am certainly willing to take direction and suggestions from models and I am always willing to try an learn new things- depending on the style and type of photography that you are interested in pursuing.

ABOUT ME (THE PHOTOGRAPHER)

I live in the Pacific Northwest, but am originally from Hawaii and am of partial Hawaiian descent.  As a result of my Hawaiian heritage, I have a keen interest in Asian culture, fashion, and style.  It is for this reason that you will notice I primarily work with Asian models.  This is not exclusive, though to be honest, it is my preference.

I travel around the world for my "day" job and thus have the opportunity to meet people in different places and take photos in different locations beyond my hometown or even country!  I have shot in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and many other places.  When I am coming to your city, I will reach out and contact you if your portfolio has interest to me.

My camera is professional grade- Canon 5D Mark III and I have an assortment of lenses for many different angles and styles.

WHAT TO EXPECT/ CONTACT INFORMATION

*    My rates range from $50-$100 per hour.  However, if I believe you can assist me with my portfolio and/or the theme is within my interests, I do not charge for my photography.  I will not pay to shoot with a model, as I am busy enough with either paid or TF* shoots.
*    I will provide a model release and ask that the models I work with sign this release prior to our shoot.
*    I understand the need for and will work with models who wish to have escorts during the shoot.
*    I am professional, courteous, friendly and respectful of the models I work with and would hope for the same in return.
*    I take a lot of photos during our shoot- to ensure we have a good number of photos to review, edit, and choose from.  I will provide a download link of all images taken during the shoot, of standard quality JPG images.  I also allow my models to select 5-10 images and will provide edited, higher quality images based on those that the model desires.  Please note, though, I am a photographer, not a professional retouch artist.
