I have just published 2 new books, "Avatars of the Sacred Feminine" which includes 94 images from my Goddess Images and have nearly 30 women represented, mostly from those incredible models from here on Model Mayhem and "Lux et Flux", which has 68 images from my motion series. All of the images from these 2 books were taken with my mammoth  plate camera. I am working on 2 new books and am constantly looking for new women with which to photograph. So if you want to get published, please contact me and let's get to work.

I also have a portfolio of my work to be included in a new anthology out of Germany called "The Best of International Nude Photography 3". This has just come out and should be available soon.

Also an article and portfolio of my midwest landscape work (and one nude) has just been published by View Camera magazine.

A portfolio of my work has been included in the recently published 3rd volume of the Mammoth Book of New Erotic Photography, which will be distributed around the world. I am very honored to be included with some of the world's top photographers including some right here on MM.

A little about myself:

I am a fine art photographer of over 40 years specializing in working with the human female. My work focuses primarily on portraiture, from studio work exploring the complexity of women that I find so compelling to nudes in the natural world, where the figure adds a mythological or art historical reference to the environment. It is my intention to add layers of complexity to the work that demands protracted viewing to discern the many layers of meaning and pictorial realtionships. My images are created using film exclusively and are made using traditional photographic processes in my darkroom, from platinum, cyanotype, to traditional silver prints. What sets my work apart from most other figurative work is that I work with what are considered to be giant cameras, from the more common 8 X 10 to an 18 X 22 inch mammoth plate camera from the 1890's. There is nothing to prepare anyone for the experience of working with these cameras, so unlike the mindless clicking of digital cameras. Though I have sometimes been referred to as a photographic dinosaur from my digital adversaries, the consensus is that I am a T Rex, something I can live with.

I am interested in capturing the soul and the spirit. I follow as well the old pictorialist's belief in beauty as the primary component in the making of art using these cameras. I do no commercial work, my prints are sold as fine art in galleries. My art strives for museums, not portfolios. My interest in the site comes from the hope of finding a select group of models in which to continue the many projects I am currently working on, including the Motion Series and the Goddess Images. I am dedicated to making each photographic experience unique and enjoyable. I am a blast to work with and believe giggles and smiles are essential components to making serious art of the highest aspirations. Especially in working with the vast quantity of materials and props laying around my studio. Playing dress up has never been more fun.
