About Me

I attended cosmetology school here, in San Francisco (Miss Marty's School of Beauty) back in 1997. As a means of honing my makeup application and customer service skills, I took as job at Macy's Union Square with Benefit Cosmetics. I did makeup application from morning 'til night.

Later, I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to assist makeup artist, Raul Anthony, who was with Artists Untied Agency (currently at The Ford Agency). I worked with him on several print shoots for Macy's, a music video for Third Eye Blind, and for Levi's Silvertab "Celebrate Your Specialness" a national ad campaign.

My style to this day is heavily influenced by Mr. Anthony's glamorous, yet natural style.

In 1998, I relocated to Los Angeles, taking a job as counter manager for Vincent Longo Cosmetics at Barney's in Beverly Hills. Once again, I was inspired by working under the direction of an immensely talented artist who was generous enough to share his unique insight with me. I was also able to make inroads to the entertainment industry. I accomplished a respectable degree of success and notiriety, as an artist in my own right.

From 2000 to 2004, I worked for a high end salon, frank.studio, in Santa Monica. The studio is owned by celebrity hairstylist, Frank Gallaso and his wife, Lisa Xavier. My clients included several magazine beauty editors, film and television actresses, models, screenwriters and a large number of recognizable names. I have included a complete client/credits list, for anyone who might be interested.

In 2001, I was named of of ten up-and-coming makeup artists, by WeddingChannel.com CEO and client, Elise Newman. While at the studio, I brought in one line of traditional cosmetics, as well as an airbrush line. I also managed a two lines of skincare. I refined the art of brow shaping and incorporated holistic and aromatherapy-based products and techniques into my repetoire. During that time I also worked on a regular basis with celebrity photographer, Brian To.

In 2004, I went to work for Chroma Makeup Studio, in downtown Beverly Hills. The bulk of my work was still precision brow shaping, in addition to event makeup. Two of the highlights of my time there were doing makeup for Mrs. Kirk Douglas, as well as for "Crash" producer Cathy Schulman on the night she accepted the Oscar for Best Picture.

In 2007, I moved back to San Francisco- have freelanced for several notable lines of cosmetics & skincare, sold a number of my paintings and devoted my time to various dog rescue & pet shelters. I am looking to network with local talent to update my portfolio.

These days- i am always looking for other talented people to collaborate with- especially gifted photographers with vision & lately a meticulous tailor for menswear & assistant with hair experience...  i have ass new baby girl & i need to be a good dad & make a living.

i am designing a 'couture' swim/surf & undergarment line men/unisex with slightly impractical but durable & elegant 'evening wear' fabrics. i would like to shoot a really stunning mini catalog & webpage.

anyhow, i have a million things to do as usual. how is it up ther is s.r. anyway? i need to get up there & see a friend. i am not loving city life much these days... peace ...
