I am a recent transplant to South Carolina by way of California & New York.
I am interested in working with creative models that are seeking a truly artistic addition to their portfolio. I do TFCD because my work is not a way that I make money, it's a way to express myself and I want to work with others who feel that passion to create. I'll never charge you for your time and I won't pay you for mine.
The only time this changes is when someone contacts me for a project they have in mind, then I have extremely reasonable rates.
My art involves a variety of different media including photography, drawing, painting, Leather working, metal working, flyer design, tattoo design, graphic design and illustration.
What I'm seeking:
Models, Artists, photographers, poets, right brain thinkers, magicians, fire performers, contortionists, most likely YOU.
I have a soft spot for red heads and girls with pink hair. The more exotic your look is.. the more interested I am in working with you.
I want to create a visual dreamland.. otherworldly images that embrace beauty and darkness with a passion.
I grew up around comic books and video games.. I like the worlds that they created and i got lost in their fantasy. I would like to feel that again:)
A muse of mine once wrote--
-From the lush and rustic environs of her native upstate New York, to the chimera and ceremony of the Los Angeles subcultures through which she currently shapes her myth, photographer Barb Bel captures the whimsical within the absolute. Her camera sees the abstruse beauty, tragedy, and absurdity of life, and works within its immediate context to commemorate a distinctly individual moment to the immortality of collective experience. The images that result can be literal and direct, or romantic with evasive translation, but Ms. Bels spirited philosophy shines through: Life may be silly, and serious, and nonsensical by turn, but taken moment by moment, its beauty surpasses the anxiety of the particular. - Larissa Silva
