I have developed a deep love for photography, specifically as it relates to portraying the erotic nature of women in an intelligent, honest, tasteful and artistic manner. I hope to use Model Mayhem so that I can work with new models in order to gain experience and add to my portfolio with new looks.
The bulk of my work focuses on photography, poetry and insight relative to the themes of love, sex and creation. Specifically, the power within all of us to harness these moments through connecting with what I like to call "Our Lady Stardust", that part within each of us that is unabashed, possesses animal grace, sees the fiery beauty within our light, our dark and our sex. I prefer to think of my subjects as muses who can touch others by revealing their own strange, naked magic and leave some invisible, sensual glitter behind. It stays there, and any one of us can tap into it if we so uncensor ourselves. For me, poetry, music and the female form are the most evocative mediums to capture these moments.
In every case to date, my shoots have involved non-models - in other words, beautiful women who had little to no experience modeling. This has been a hugely rewarding experience, and working with friends, or friends of friends, has set a huge precedent for me going forward as it applies to establishing respectful and creative relationships with the subjects. This includes setting and understanding clear boundaries, creating trust, sharing the project in a way that it is mutually beneficial and inspiring as well as being reliable, available and open. I am equally excited to work with experienced models in that they have a higher comfort level being in front of a camera and can, ideally, help me to grow myself as an artist as well. In any case, whether a model or a friend, I will continue to build those relationships with the same level of respect and integrity. Above all, I do what I do because I love it, it's rewarding, and, most importantly, it can, and should be, a ton of fun. If you like my images and appreciate my work ethos, please do contact me.
I have moderate experience shooting commercially, including a shoot for jewelry designer whose inspiration comes from the mythic and the natural, as well as a shoot for Bondage-Erotique in order to express the world of rope-tying beyond the traditional themes of captivity and submission and instead placing power with the woman, or captive, as a declaration of choice, bravery and trust. Upcoming is a wild and campy shoot for a female DJ duo who call themselves Search And Destroy. I will provide links once those campaigns are finalized and posted.
I'm very excited about the possibilities here and look forward to hearing from creative and empowered individuals. In the meantime, thank you for Stardusting.
