About Me

Hello... My name is Joshua Ainsworth, I was born in London, England. Graduated from the University of East London where I studied Photography and Fine Art. I now work from the town of Ambleside in the beautiful Lake District National Park.

I spent my first years post graduation as a photographers assistant in London for an eclectic mix of photographers before going it solo as a freelancer.

I've worked on some weird shoots, some mundane but more often than not some wonderful projects.

I love shooting portraiture, capturing the unique characteristics and personalities of those I shoot. I look for a sense of personal power and rebellion in my work. I also find great pleasure in the wild and untamed lands of our planet and hiking into isolation to shoot beautiful landscapes brings me both peace and a sense of awe in the face of nature's incredible beauty and defiance.

However having said all that I've been away from photography as a career for about 2 years and am now getting back into it in a professional context. As such I'm brand spanking new to Model Mayhem and I'm hoping to shoot some great new images for my portfolio before I start my Master's Degree next year so please do get in touch if you have your own idea's or open to mine!

Rates

At the moment I'm up for a free exchange of time and shared images for the right subjects. (Fine Art Fashion & Elegant Portraiture.) Available to travel and flexible with dates.

3 year's as a freelance photographer's assistant followed by 6 years as a freelance photographer shooting mostly Portraits & Weddings.
