My 2009 fall exhibition and sale at the Lena Di Gangi Gallery has now closed after a successful one month run. A spring/summer show is now in the planning stage. Watch this space for further information. If you're a model and are interested in discussing testing for possible inclusion in the show message me here or at jmhimages@optonline.net.

This portfolio celebrates the human form. It contains images ranging from lingerie to nude (implied, partial, and full) and styles ranging from glamour to fine art (whatever than means). It does not contain so-called “adult” images nor images that most reasonable people would consider pornographic. I don’t shoot either type. A wide range of body forms, races, and ages are represented since it is my belief that beauty takes many forms and reveals itself in many ways.
Appearing in this portfolio are both professionals as well as women who have never before been photographed less than fully clothed and may never choose to do so again. Every model has her own motive for revealing her body to my lens. Some do it to advance their careers, others to capture their beauty because the believe it will fade (but, it won’t…it will mere be transformed), some on a dare or to show off a new tattoo or new implants, others to fill some narcissistic need, others as intimate and personal gifts and tributes to significant others and still others to torment an ex-husband or ex-boyfriend with what they’ve lost.
My mission is not to question a model’s motivation for posing nude but rather, to help her achieve her goal. In helping her achieve her goal I hope to create images that are both artistic and at the same time touch some deeper chord in the viewer. That means awakening some distant memory, touching an emotion, tapping into some dark corner of the viewer's mind, or making the viewer laugh. The key is that they react to the image on multiple levels. Sometimes my images do that successfully and sometimes they do not. No matter, it is the intent of both the model and me to make something that goes beyond the merely pretty picture.
If you’re interested in learning more about my work and ready to at least entertain the possibility of posing for images like you see in my port please contact me and let’s begin the discussion.
