Creative SandBox Studio & Detroit Visual Studio(Coming in 2012), is Alex Alexander. Creative Sandbox Studio, a commerical photographic studio still/video and Detroit Visual Studio, a Digital Mobile Lab & Rental Lighting Equipment.
Photographer/Graphic Designer/Writer/Educator/Filmmaker:
With 30yrs experience professionally in: photography(still/film), graphic design & writing. Has been working with Internation/National and Local Advertising /Editorial/Catalog/Fashion/LifeStyle work. I am located in Detroit, Mi & Chicago, Ill. Shoots both traditional & digital from 2 1/4 to 8x10. Studio or location shootings. Has worked with models & modeling agencys for the past 25yrs. I am always out looking for that next image of someone. Here is a little insight into me.....Turkish coffee in the morning & humor makes for a creative day shooting. It's not so much about the camera or if you are digital or film, but how you relate to that person in front of the camera. Relaxe...give me a smile.....Click!(just call me Alex). A little more insight into me...I am a buddhist that still wears a black leather biker jacket to meetings with CEO's and I listen to jazz non-stop..but will break out my Ian Hunter LP's for some rocking. "I'm beyond your peripheral vision..so you might want to turn your head" Ani Difranco. Of course I am Motown Sound and I have photographed a lot of the old Motown Artist, just before the start of the project “Standing In The Shadows of Motown"documentary. Someday I’ll print all the works into a book or exhibition.
Oh! By the way I live on a small canal island on the Detroit River front....so pulling me away from the island will be hard to do, but photographing models on the island or pool here makes island living a joy during the summer months.
