Sketchie Pencils

***As of March 18th, 2011 I am taking an extended break from drawing to spend some time on some other ideas and to work on a new look for my future creative endeavors.  But I am not disappearing, i'll still be around to check out pages and leave comments and things...

My name is George Cook and I am a pretty much self taught artist.  I took art classes in high school, but I have had no real formal training.  I would like to show off some of my work so that I may receive inputs and critiques from other artists, models, and photographers to not only connect with others in these industries, but to also improve my work. 

I work mainly with pencils because they are what I tend to be more comfortable with.  Color and i usually don't get along too well, but once in a while I will go ahead and ink and color a piece.  I would like to be able to spend a lot of my free time working on improving my drawing and shading technique so that I will continue to have fun with it. 

I would like to some day be able to open my own art studio and possibly a business.  I would like to see what others think of my work.  I know I have a long way to go and a lot to learn.  And I want to learn.
