MESSINA DESIGNS

Historic and era inspired designs with a modern color palette and fabric selection. Established recently in 2009, designer Cara Messina’s signature feminine details- with a modern edge- showcases a new range of garments including ready to wear, cocktail,  millinery, and unique hair pieces.

Messina Designs are all made in Melbourne-Australia and all fabrics are sourced from vintage and commercial fabric shops in Australia. As a designer I am always experimenting with new and different tailoring and draping techniques. I also enjoy working with a range of different untraditional fabrics to more conventional fabrics, and couture hand sewn fabrics.

I am currently working as a Visual Merchandiser and stylist part time and my own fashion designs and Millinery pieces during my free time. Fashion and styling is my passion and I am always looking for opportunities to work with models, make-up artists, stylists and photographers. As a stylist I have a range of different props that I can bring to the set along with accessories and a range of different clothing pieces and millinery.
