“Dramatic, elegant, corseted silhouettes inspired by art, music and the history of fashion.”
My name is Natalie and I am the designer, pattern maker and dressmaker behind Claudia Savage. My works to date have for the most part been one off couture pieces but I am currently in the midst of creating my first collection. (Meaning i'm super busy! Apologies if i am not able to reply to you straight away, i promise i will asap!)
My garments are available for shoots, please contact me for details.
Thank you for visiting my profile.
So, now the formal writtings are out of the way.......Behold! A more casual ramble awaits....
My history in fashion is short and began with a complete lack of interest in fashion actually. I wanted to be an artist but i also wanted to eat on the odd occasion so that conjured up the thoughts of what else can i do that people might like??.....the conclusion of this being: "Well, I can sew" followed closely by: "I'm sure i can find and excuse to draw and use photoshop in the fashion industry too!" And so it began *dramatic music!! *
I'm still not sure what area of fashion I fit into, I don't aim for any particular area which is probably half the reason I don't know!

My designs come from the void that is my head, all the characters i created and used in my art work I've now given them extensive wardrobes of clothing i wish I had the guts to wear and have hopes that there are people out there who do in fact have said guts. I try to challenge myself by coming up with an idea that will translate well into and artistic image but also be able to translate that into an as accurate a physically possible 3D wearable and aesthetically beautiful garment.
I'm a perfectionist in my work......and other random things such as the colour order of pencils and m&m's. I like things to be just so, for this reason I like to be present at shoots of my designs just so I know the garment is being worn correctly and looking the best it can. I would never presume to tell a photographer/MUA/hairstylist how to do there job seeing as I can barely apply lipstick nor take an in focus picture.
So yeah, there you have it. Oh and my taste in music may be angry but I'm not, so don't be shy to contact me
