My name is Kana. I'm a 27 year old college student.
I've never truly seen modeling as a career choice, but with recent offers and shoots, who knows. It would at least be an interesting story to tell.
Though I do appreciate and admire the work. I'm an artist, and as such I see the beauty in this form of art, even if I drift more to the canvas than the camera personally. Which is why I really prefer photographs with a story behind them, 'something going on other than a girl with a pretty face'. Those type photographs are exciting and fun for me.
My Goals

As a growing artist, I wish to see how far I can go in all media's. And photography has always held a fascination for me. But one I've never truly explored. So my goal now is to stop neglecting this aspect of art and embrace it.
I'm always looking for that exciting photo. I do plan to gather all of my experiences and photos into a book in a year or two. So the more of a portfolio I have the better.
I do have many ideas, and many of which I would like to use to fill my portfolio. Though I have no problem with listening/doing any ideas you think I could work in. By no means do I try to present myself as knowing more about what would work best. I don't, so feel free to tell me.
Limits/Conditions/My Style

I am very much so an
alternative model. By that I mean - Goth, Cyber punk, dark, creepy, Betty, BDSM style (artisticly done).
My hair style/color changes frequently. But generally revolves around red/black/burgundy/pink.
-I have no problem doing
TFP/TFCD projects to continue building my portfolio. So, if you have some projects that you feel I would be good for please email me so that we may discuss it further.
-I do my
own Makeup, though I do also have a MUA/Hair Stylist, though her schedule is tight so we would have to work to fit her schedule (but she is well worth it, and can do a heck of alot more than I can. If you are after extreme Then I would suggest using her). She works for
PAID assignments.
I can do my own hair as well as use many varieties of hair extensions/falls/wigs. I am not opposed to dying my hair, but keep in mind I do work in the Corporate World, and even though I could technically get away with it, I'd like to not push their limits too badly. (Meaning, temporary dies/shampoos/extensions would probably be best.) Natural nails, well polished. Mostly with nothing more than clear coat to make them shinny, unless specified.
-I am not a one trick pony. My style/look can easily change. And I have an array of clothing options available.
-I always bring an escort for personal comfort. Please be understanding here, and dont let it set you off. I make sure they are well aware that they are there to help
me, mainly with clothing/hair etc. They do not interfer nor have the gall to tell the photographer how to do his/her job. I make sure they are clear on that. And if there is too much of a problem with this, I like for it to be brought up as soon as possible. To keep from causing issues/miscommunications.
-I do travel
PAID. Otherwise My limit is generally to Buffalo/Toronto on my own time/money. Unless you are truly exceptional and I really want to work with you!
-I prefer to book well in advance (meaning weeks or more) Due to having fulltime job other than this/costume creation time. Alot of my ideas take time, so please be patient and dont take my lack of quickness as asign that I am halfheartedly interested. Generally I have to create my clothing by hand/buy materials for hair pieces/wait on custom pieces by friends/businesses I buy from. So just keep in mind the process is tedius. I work full-time, I also go to school, double majors. So I will need to schedule any work weeks in advance to arrange my schedule to fit.
-If I offer up ideas that require alot of props/details. I am offering to cover those. I do realize we all have day jobs, that arent necessarily this. Nor do we all have endless wallets (though it would be uber nice!). So if I offer a tedius idea, I am not expecting you to cough up the expenses to create these. Though if they are digital manipulations, it's all you buddy. I have no talent in that department.
-I will not go into detail about my views on nude photos here. If that is what you are looking for, from me. Please message me and I will be more than happy to explain via email. (It's just too detailed to type here.)
-If we agree on CDs/prints, please don't take forever to get those to me. I am very understanding as long as I'm told a timeframe ahead of time, but waiting months for something promised in a week is not cool. I do understand life happens, but if you dont have a time frame, it's perfectly fine to say so.
-I realize that I am not very experienced. Having a few people take photos of me does not make me anywhere near experienced as alot of the girls on here. So I do not kid myself. I do realize that having a few sets just quailfies as having worked with a few photographers. But I am very willing to learn, and I do with each shoot.
-I am laid back/friendly. I am very respectful, and I hope I am easy to work with. I do understand that I dont know everything (in fact I know very little) about this industry, and take criticism/suggestions. I appreciate them. But I try to be professional. And hope to get the same in return. Let's treat each other with respect and walk away from this with a good feeling.
