I constantly get asked, 'Why "Monroe Files"?' When I first started on this journey in photography, I did not know what I wanted to photograph. Did I want to take action photos of football players crashing into each other? What about sweet little newborns swaddle up nice and tight, sleeping the day away? Or the land of making the teeny tiny seem gigantic with a macro lens? The possibilities are endless. And I didn't know where to begin! With such an intense passion for photography and the world it created, I was hungry to photograph it all. I knew as the adventure unfolded I would find my true calling. When the prospect of deciding on a name for myself came into play, I quickly settled on "Monroe Files Photography".
"Monroe" - I love Marilyn Monroe. The photographs spanning her life time are simply beautiful and timeless. Many consider her an iconic bombshell. I think she's fiercely real (thanks Tyra!) as she had a voluptuous body at 37-24-36.
"Files" - I wanted something...a little mysterious. Something that could cover all genres but would "fit" with whatever type of photographer I would become as the story wrote its self. Something classy, elegant, and vivacious.
"Creativity has got to start with humanity and when you're a human being, you feel, you suffer." "I love a natural look in pictures. I like people with a feeling one way or another - it shows an inner life. I like to see that there's something going on inside them." - Marylin Monroe
