About me
Born 24 January, 1975, in the city of Seville, southern Spain, Agustin Montoya began his career at the early age of 18. In 2004 he decided to make the leap to the other side of the Atlantic and he moved to the cities of Miami and New York (USA) to establish professional contacts in the world of Fashion, Advertising, Portrait and Editorial. Later, he would add other countries to his list of destinations, including: England, Italy, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Argentina, etc. Completely self-taught, today he is recognized in the publicity and fashion sector.
His knowledge as a photographer, image retoucher, art director and graphic designer, united with the impressive quality of his work, have led him to achieve a special position within the field.
One of his great passions is the digital treatment and composition of images (creative retouching). Throughout his career he has dedicated hundreds of hours to his work, investigation and experimentation in this art, turning himself into one of the best and most creative post-production photography professionals of the moment. One of his favorite quotes is “A photograph isn’t taken, it’s made”, with this referring to the whole process of production until achieving a unique image. On the other hand, he loves to take an old camera with black-and-white film and go out to capture natural snapshots, far from any computers or electronic devices, since he considers that its texture and expression are a wonderful and very relaxing experience.
