Hi,
I'm a 32 year old woman from the Netherlands.
My real name is Brenda, Gerbren is just my nickname.
I'm a self taught digital artist specialized in photo manipulation and (creative) retouching.
Every single idea that comes to my mind is written down in a book. I can make manipulations for ages. Looking at the tv, my environment, listening to music, watching stockimages or pictures on the internet give me a constant flow of new ideas that I'd like to bring to life trough my manipulations. I sometimes just present a scenery or beautiful person, so not everything has an idea or concept behind it, but it's my biggest challenge to give you a little story or a work with a meaning. If I can make you think, look another time or give you a certain feeling with my created atmosphere, than I'm happy.
To achieve those results for my own work of art; I use stockpictures, brushes and once in a while my own photo's in combination with stockimages.
There is often a little bit of drawing involved too, but I'm not a painter.
My style is very broad; these are the themes you will see in my work:
Fantasy, surrealism, romance, epic, dark/horror, macabre, sci-fi, narrative, illustrative, emotional, meaningful, colourful, embellishing/ retouching.

What you need to know regarding services:
*Only serious requests please!
*Please make sure you have permission from the photographer (if your a model) before you let me use your photo's. I will ask you to send me a little statement that says that the photo's can be used for the work that needs to be done (non-commercial or commercial). I will also inform the photographer. Thank you.
*My style is very broad (see earlier mentioned); there is a lot possible.
*Generally paid work. Prices are very reasonable and for now negotiable. There will be a pricelist soon. A basic retouch starts at 10 dollar, but a manipulation with several photo's, brushes and a little painting starts at 20 dollar. Contact me for a quote.
*I like to be credited if possible and I'd like to show the (TF or paid) finished work at my website, MM portfolio and my other profiles at Flickr.com, Deviantart and Advanced photoshop. I will inform all stockproviders and photographer ('s) about this and I give proper credits.
* TF work is possible when:
~Your request is very interesting and/or a challenge to me.
~I have the time.
*You can always send me a note if you like to do TF work or have any other questions. Questions will be friendly answered.
* It helps if you mention in the email or note if it's about TF or paid work.

What you need to know about the process:
* Regarding non-commercial artwork/manipulations for your portfolio when stock is also being used (TF WORK) :
-You may provide one of more photo's of your own, but I can also use stockimages and brushes from several stocksites. If I have to pay for stockimages than the cost for this image will be charged. (1.25 $ /image.) This will be discussed with you before I start. When I used stock, than I need you to give credit for the finished work by mention my name and the links/names to the used stockimages/brushes that need to be credited (I will give you the links). This is necessary when you decide to show the finished work at websites outside MM. I know it's not an ideal thing, but a lot of the stockproviders want to be credited if their work is used. I respect the copyright rules highly. Just keep in mind that using stock gives us the freedom to create almost anything you want. The resources are endless, and I know where to find them.
* Regarding non-commercial artwork/manipulations for your portfolio when stock is also being used (PAID WORK) :
Exactly the same as above (TF work), but with the understanding that I need to make sure that te stockproviders agree with the fact that I'm getting paid for the creation that is made with the help of one of their stocks. You pay me for the work I do, the effort and the creation, but the stockproviders still need to agree with this one time profit. The stockproviders will be informed/ asked before hand if necessary.
*Crediting at MM: As usual + provide a link to where the full credits and resources are given (I give you the link).

* Regarding artwork/manipulations for commercial purposes (PAID WORK) :
- You may provide one of more photo's from your own, but I can also buy stock (free for commercial use, sometimes with a license) at different stocksites. Prices are variable, but you have to pay for them. This will be discussed with you before I start.

*So what you need to do (PAID WORK):
-Send me a note through MM or my e-mail with your wishes: About the paid work and the concept. I can also think of something, but you have to let me know. Let me know what kind of photo ('s) you have in mind (by sending me a thumbnail/ photo or by giving me the link to the photo in your portfolio.)
-I also need to know if there is a deadline for when the work needs to be ready.
-I let you know as quickly as possible (within 2 days) what kind of concept I thought.
Once agreed:
- If necessary: send me a permission statement to my e-mail. I will inform the photographer. Once he/she responded:
-Send me your best quality high res. photo ('s). (Can be earlier, but make sure you already have the permission.)
-I will find the required resources and inform/ ask permission from the stockproviders if necessary. (about the profit) I have to await there response. If I don't get permission, than I will look of course further for other stock.
I will also notify you about the extra costs for bought resources. (if necessary)
Once all stockproviders responded and you agree with the extra costs:
-I'll give you the paymentinstructions and you do the payment as agreed.
-I start working on your creation once I received the payment.
-You receive a watermarked, low resolution copy of the finished work. I can always do some corrections if your not satisfied.
-I'll send you the high resolution, finished product if your completely satisfied with the result.
* When I used stock, than I need you to give credit for the finished work by mention my name and the links/names to the used stockimages/brushes that need to be credited (I will give you the links). This is necessary when you decide to show the finished work at websites (outside MM).
*Everything will of course go a lot quicker when I only use your own photo's and you have your concept with details ready.
*It's possible that I need to use extra resourses while I am working on the creation, so it could be necessary that I need to inform new stockproviders (And await a response). I will not charge you for any extra bought images.
~Once finished, I shall also send you the credits that need to be mentioned (if required).

*Please keep in mind that it might take a week or sometimes a bit longer before the work is finished. It all depends on:
-How long it takes before you send me the statement.
-How long it takes before I got an answer from the photographer about the use of his/her photo.
-How long it takes before you send me the payment.
-How long it takes before the stockproviders respond about the use of their images. (I follow the stockrules, but as said earlier, I need to inform some stockproviders about the profit when I'm getting paid.)
~I will not start the work before mentioned above is done.
All things taking care off, the work will mostly be done within 4
days.
