Samhain Images

"Samhain" (pronounced "SOW-WIN") - Gaelic name for the day that this world and the otherworld/underworld overlap. You may know it as "Halloween"


My name is Michael, and I am a creative photographer based in Cork city, Ireland. I work on a free-lance basis professionally, but I try to include time for my personal work. I do professional portfolio shoots for models, but I also do "Testing" from time to time where I can fit it in, and where I think I can achieve something creatively. I have a distinction from the IPF, and have been CCG photographer of the year for 2 years running. I am always open to working with new people who are open to creating something good, and want to have fun doing it! TFCD & Test shoots always an option!
I try to be dramatic and theatrical in my set-ups, and have a preference for location shooting.
The shots I've included here include some Model Portfolio shots, and some of the "theatrical" (My "Samhain images") type shots I like to create. On every shoot, I ensure that I come away with plenty for the model, and plenty for me.

To answer a question I've been asked a few times: No I do NOT make "Composite shots". All of my locations are real, and shot in the same shot as the models
