"You Don't Take A Photograph, You Make It"

Matthew is a 28 year old photographer who resides in Whittier,Ca. He first discovered his interest in photography during his senior year in high school (2008). He loved to take photographs of random things and edit the shots for his own personal use. In 2009 he took some photography classes at Cerritos College and developed his craft. His professors Ed Heckerman, and Christina Fernandez guided him on developing a style of his own. During his time at Cerritos College he learned how to shoot 35mm, and 4x5 images. After his first year in the program he won first place in a student exhibition at Cerritos College. Shortly after he began working at the photography lab where he learned to mix and become an expert in all things photography related. In 2013 he took a break from the camera to develop a craft in the cosmetic industry where he began working for Dior. Although he loved makeup he felt it was necessary to pursue photography again. Matthew still dabbles in makeup but is currently pursuing photography.
