My name is Elaine (a/k/a Valerian) and my passion is creating elegant jewelry and elaborate hats in an unusual blend of Victorian, Gothic, Steampunk, Renaissance and 1920's styles. Although I occasionally showcase a few other designers at Art of Adornment, I make 90% of the handcrafted stock in the store and run the whole works by myself. Many of the decadent chokers, necklaces, bracelets and earrings I design are one-of-a-kind or limited edition, but all have a flair for the dramatic.
Some photography and so far all of the fashion shows I've done involved pairing up with clothing designers (Kambriel, Original Sin, Mange La Mode, To Die For Designs and several others). I openly welcome collaboration. I model many of my creations myself but ultimately prefer a more exotic palette. I'm interested in working with clothing designers, models, photographers and filmmakers who pride themselves on their unique dark/edgy/alternative style (vintage-influenced looks a plus!). Since much of our stock is rare or one-of-a-kind, I prefer to loan out pieces or offer a discounted price if you want to keep them. General terms are TF.
