About Me

I am a female photographer, fine artist and film-maker looking to meet mature, unique and interesting models who want to create some incredible, pure art.

I am becoming increasingly disturbed by the exploitation of women through photography in New Zealand. We are making images of women who appear uncomfortable, victimized and awkward. This is perhaps because, some people approach the female form with disrespect and intentions that are void of Art. I believe strongly in approaching life from the perspective of the Artist; see without judgment, but with empathy. Understand your subjects, learn their secrets, show the world their beauty no matter how unique it might be.

No one is ugly to me. I will consider working with anyone who has the right attitude and is willing to create Art to further themselves, not just to get tags and comments. Art is not for the vapid, the shy, or the weak.

I create images to glorify the female form, but also to draw out and illuminate the personality and hidden identity of the model.

I am interested in aesthetics of darkness, surrealism, beauty and ugliness, sickness and disfigurement.

I began working as a photographer in 2005 dealing largely with issues of violence, self-mutilation, torture and abuse. I then gradually progressed to creating images of the human condition; scars, bones, blood, bodily fluids and deformities, always trying to retain an element of beauty through the grotesque.

For the last year and a half my work has evolved and transcended vapid, tangible things. The stereotype and cliche is no longer necessary and I am not interested in re-creating past images. I no longer want to work in fashion, glamour or alternative light-hearted themes. I am in this for the Art. For spirituality, for femininity, for the Journey.

I am interested in drawing out hidden Archetypes from the models I work with; as an artist is it my role to withdraw the Image, and your role to project it into my lens.

I have worked with many models in NZ before, and am looking for some new models for upcoming film, book and exhibition projects.
