BIO:
In 1980, Dov was born in Tepoztlan, Morelos, Mexico, a magical village in the tropical, central highlands of Mexico. For his first five years, he lived among the native people in an atmosphere of lush, blooming beauty in a valley encircled by towering mountains and cascading waterfalls. His earliest memories are those of breath-taking natural beauty.
In 1985, hyperinflation destroyed the family’s cottage jewelry workshop, and Dov’s parents decided to return to Los Angeles, California. Dov went to Montessori school and then Waldorf school. He learned to be orderly at Montessori school and creative at Waldorf school. From his toddler years on, he studied art with his father in their at home studio. Dov has been drawing, painting, sculpting, and photographing since he was a child.
At age 10, he found his father’s camera and began to shoot as a hobby. By the time Dov reached college, he had decided to pursue a career as a photographer. Dov has a natural sense of composition. He sees the inner essence of people and objects. He captures their beauty and emotion. There is a natural elegance in his work, coupled with a sense of mystery and wonder.
Dov has been working as a professional fashion and product photographer for some time. He also enjoys photographing nature, which harks back to his extraordinary early childhood experiences.
Dov plans to continue working in fashion photography. He is also pursing the production of a special line of eco-friendly clothing to help the planet conserve energy. His dream is to make every place on earth as beautiful as the village he was born in.
Dov also runs and owns Cliques Photo Booth, an alternative marketing/event company.
