John Malloch Caldwell

John Malloch-Caldwell, full-time fine art & commercial/editorial photographer and photojournalist. I did decide to retire early 8 years ago but got so bored with it I had to get back to work again. I now work on those jobs that are of real interest to me where income is not the deciding factor. (Although I still charge the full amount for my work)
If you, as a model, are interested in working with me in any capacity I expect that communication be on a professional level.
For editorial/commercial style work I prefer models to have a slim non enhanced well proportioned figure, a good clear complexion, hair in excellent condition and be 5'6" or above. I do the very minimum of post production on my images and much of my work is done on film in various formats.
All work I do is covered by a model release and usage license. The release and license covers all aspects of permitted usage, payment and conditions.
For fine art there is no height restriction, over 18's only with a non-enhanced figure, a good clear complexion and hair in excellent condition.

Model portfolios
Charges for models portfolio are as follows. Half Day shoot £250 Full Day shoot £400
Images are supplied edited to small Jpegs suitable for online portfolio (800 longest side) and large Jpegs suitable for Printing average edited size 5megs.
A usage contract is supplied. MUA fee is charged extra.

TFP for new models will be done by invitation only. To be invited I have to know you exist.

Personal Projects

New models
I am at present looking to update certain parts of my portfolio with new casual editorial work. Any model interested should drop me a message here. My criteria is that they should be 5'6" and above, slim natural figure, hair and skin in good condition. Prepared to work in wind, rain and sunshine on location. This will be on a TF* basis and a contract will be issued to state number and type of images supplied and the time scale for supply.

Working with minors
All releases issued have to be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Under the age of 16 all models have to be chaperoned by a parent or legal guardian.

Chaperones/Escorts
I have now changed my policy on Chaperones/Escorts. All Chaperones/Escorts must be fully registered with the UK SIA and carry the appropriate insurance. All escort fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the model. No exceptions. Chaperones/Escorts are required to remain in the background during the shoot. No exceptions.
In addition I still retain the right to refuse to have an escort present if I so wish. (Only exception is where one is required by law, under 16 in the UK).

As the boss I have two rules when I am working.
Rule 1 - The boss is never wrong.
Rule 2 - When the boss is wrong Rule 1 applies.

Castings
At present I am looking for female models for a new fine art book project. Contact for information.
When I search for a model on MM I now usually search for models who have logged on within the previous 7 days.
Please note I usually schedule shoots up to 3 months in advance.

When I send a model a message, I check to see if it has been read within 7 days, if not the message is deleted. Same with read messages, if no reply, even a 'no thank you' within 7 days, it is deleted.

Personally heavily involved in the promotion of the fight AGAINST the UK policy of Forced Adoption where new babies (often taken from hospital maternity wards) and children are removed by Social Services in many cases from perfectly good parents and put up for adoption against the parents wishes in Secret (Closed) Courts (yes Secret (Closed) Courts do exist in the UK, despite the Government denying this, they lie). In this system there is no jury and no criminal charges brought against the parents.
