About me:
My name is Katie and I'm a mommy to my 2 year old, Daniel Irish and I am currently pregnant with our second baby due in January! I am also a wife to my amazing husband Chris who is in Photography. I've been a makeup artist since I was about 17, although Makeup has been a passion of mine early into my childhood. I remember staying up late at night doing different looks on myself, some crazy and wild and some very natural and pretty.

Throughout the years I have learned that perfection is merely a myth, something that is often sought after yet never achieved. I do not believe a face is ever perfect nor the makeup I put on it. A face is to be enhanced, complimented, not perfected. To see true beauty in the work of a makeup artist is to see flaw. That is what makes a face beautiful. I have had to learn this with ever job, every face I have touched. If I try to make a face perfect I will never succeed. But what I do succeed in is showing true beauty. Weather it may be with bold colors and dark lines or natural shades mimicking that of a baby, my goal is always to show true beauty.

Education:
I am currently enrolled in the makeup/cosmetician course at clary sage college where I am
Learning even more about the field I love so much! We are working on blood and gore, making fangs, doing extended airbrushing, etc. I am so excited to finally be in school And getting to do what I love every day! Not only am i in school but i also spend lots of time reading about my favorite makeup artists and keeping tabs on the new trends. My education never stops! I eventually want to be in hollywood doing makeup for movies, fashion, and whatever else comes my Way!
