About me
My work as a makeup artist includes short film, web, industrial video, music video, photography, and bridal/fashion. Additionally, my background includes more than 20 years with theatrical makeup in community theatre, including children's theatre and SFX, as well as other professional media work as a host, writer, reporter, assistant program director, music director, and promotions for radio, TV and film.
In 2008, I finally became certified in my lifelong interest in Makeup Artistry to put my creative skills to work professionally.
I have created standard ingenue looks in hi-def, characters, age makeup, have experience with period looks, making mature faces look beautiful, makeup for men, as well as SFX involving bruising/blood, scars, and ghostly/zombie looks. Thanks to my varied creative and media experience, I am now focusing on makeup artistry, am comfortable on a set, in fast-paced environments, and with working with directors and photographers to adjust makeup products and looks for commercial, editorial, industrial, or promotional purposes.
