There is a long tradition of the male form as a subject throughout the history of art. From well known masters such as Da Vinci, Donatello, Michaelangelo, or Caravaggio to the more modern day photography icons, Weber, Mapplethorp, Gorman, and Ritts, the inherent aesthetic beauty of the male physique has captivated artists, sculptors, and photographers alike.
Sensuality, strength, sexuality, masculinity and eroticism are just a few words used to describe the associations we have with the male body.
The interplay of light, composition, and of course the structure and allure of the model are the key elements of any image I attempt to produce. Although I do not put myself on the same level or in the esteemed presence of the above-mentioned artists, I feel that I try to aspire to their ideals and their passions. I hope that you, the viewer, will appreciate what I have attempted to capture here.

I am a professional commercial photographer who has owned and operated my own studio for over 20 years. Before opening my own studio I was a staff photographer with a multimedia design company for 14 years. After 35 years as a full time working photographer, I needed an outlet to create images for myself rather than for a client, agency or magazine and this has led me to produce the images I have displayed here. This distraction keeps my interest in this medium alive. I have also just begun teaching an advanced photography class at a local community college which has been a gift to me. I really enjoy the experience, and am constantly surprised by the work of my students.
