Hi – thanks for stopping by…..I hope you enjoy my work. 

Philosophy: 

At the dawn of the photographic age, many primitive people believed the camera would steal their souls if it took their picture.   (For real - it’s true – I looked it up on Wikipedia)

I won’t go that far (not publicly anyway), but I do believe there is a moment (hopefully many moments) in every shoot when it all comes together and the model and photographer create a magic image.  My goal is to always capture that image.  It’s a beautiful moment in our lives that cannot be duplicated.  Sure the pose can, the lighting can, even I can what with that cloning thing going on now (another story), but somewhere in there, you had a thought that caused your face to change ever so slightly, yet beautifully, or maybe a tilt of the camera that caught that really nice line of your neck.   Either way, we got a great shot because of the moment.

What to expect from me;

1.  Laid back professionalism – I love to laugh and have a good time – as long as the work is getting done.  If you’re not completely at ease with me, I’m not doing my job and the shoot is not going to work for either of us.

2. A pure desire to capture an image we can both be proud of. 

3. NO EGO – I find them boorish and tiresome.  I’m no Annie Leibovitz, or David LaChapelle, and I’m certainly no Darryl Briggs, so why would I act like it?

4. A complete understanding of what we both expect from the shoot and as little delay as possible between sets.

What I expect from you:

1. Show up and give the shoot a chance to be awesome.  Bring your creative juices and collaborative efforts and leave your ego at home (Maybe your ego can hang out with mine and talk and stuff).

2. You’re welcome to bring an unobtrusive escort if you so desire.  But please remember, your escort is not part of the shoot.

Life Mentors:

My parents and my dog, each of whom define unconditional love on a daily basis.  One day, maybe I’ll be the person they think I am.

Photography Mentors:

Darryl Briggs, Jesse, Jeremy, Derek Mick, Bill, Charlie and the crew at the studio.  Your patience, knowledge and friendship are a constant source of inspiration.

Model Dedication:

Amberly Porter, Ashley Kimel-Freeman, Danielle Trixie, Liz, Ashley, Mia McKinley and all the magnificent models I’ve been privileged to work with, thank you for being part of my fledgling body of work.  You each make me want to work harder so you’ll be proud to say you worked with me.
