I come to photography after years as a professional, trained musician. Here is what I've learned.

A truly great song requires a mood, a dynamic. It requires an element of surprise, and yet still an elegant structure. The size and the orchestration is unimportant, whether it be a Wagnerian Orchestra or a Lonely Street Performer. The music must say something; it has to convey the message that words alone have failed.

I strive to take these lessons and many more into my images. There is a language in light, and I want to see it.

Ultimately, I would love to shoot with performers and artists. I want my model to bring more to the table than just a pretty face.
