Born and raised in China, Maggie Zheng was trained in Comtemporary Wushu professionally from age eight to thirteen and had won 3rd place in sword form and 4th place in spear form at age of twelve in Shanxi Provincial Wushu Competition, Youth Division. Having an interest in modeling, she did various print ads for local businesses as a teen model as wells as several promotional videos for the Shangxi Professional Athletic Training Academy. At age of fifteen, she moved to the Bay Area with her family. While continuing regular education at De Anza College, she was involved in the Chinese American Athletic Tournament in the Bay Area as an event organizer and Taichi judge. After transfering to UCLA in year 2002, she concentrated on her study in business and finance and graduated with cum laude in year 2004. She worked in the business sector for four years while pursuing acting and modeling on a part time basis. Currently, she is studying acting with the artistic director Paul Parker at the Australian Institute of Dramatic Arts and actor/director/writer Jack Hannibal. Recently, she was casted in the play "The Darker Side of theMoon" at the Next Stage Theatre.
