Hello everyone, my name is Seth McBean. I'm a freelance photographer based in New York City. Invariably I get asked if I have an Mayhem number while out on a shoot, so here I am finally. I mainly shoot on location but not limited to it. I studied photography primarily as a travel and nature photographer for the past couple years. These days I find interesting challenges in shooting with models and other beautiful acts of nature. While my photographic subject interests range far and wide, I don’t have a set style. Versatility is one of my strong points. I'll shoot anything from wildlife, birds, landscape, flowers, still life, macro, etc. Virtually nothing is off my interest radar. I keep an open mind and photograph what moves me.
Currently I'm working at building a portfolio of model images. Mainly interested in editorial and glamour styles at the moment however, I'm certainly open to all kinds of things. Photography is a team sport. The important thing is to work together creatively to produce a successful image in whatever given style. I believe the most important things to carry to every photo shoot are individual personality and an open mind. That goes for all involved. "The camera looks both ways" and the resulting image is every bit as much a statement of my disposition as it is a rendition of your beauty.
In a nutshell, I like to keep things fun, simple, and organic when I shoot. Always striving to creatively see common things through uncommon eyes and bring forth the natural beauty of a model.
I've been involved in Photography for a few years now, and have worked with a diversity of people, I’m very modest and you can judge my abilities through my work. You have a project in mind? Let me know, I'm always focused on bringing visions to reality and making it happen no matter what.
Rates:
I have several packages to help your modeling needs. Feel free to contact for further detail.
I will only pay models if a client has hired me for an assignment.
TFP/CD
I will only offer TF* shoot for projects that I'm developing or if it would benefit my portfolio. Feel free to contact me about my projects.
If I accept a TFP/CD shoot with you, and you would like to have a MUA. You must provide one or do your own make-up.
A word of advice to all models. Invest in yourself. TF* shoots will only take you so far. If you're serious about a career in modeling, invest in yourself!
Booking:
Before any session, I require that we share a phone call and/or setup a meeting to discuss your project. This is only to minimize any potential waste of time. In case you live in another state, I would waive the meeting with a phone conference.
Model release form:
Before working with me, please be aware that a model release form must be filled out before the session begins. Failing to fill out this release form will result in cancellation of the photo session. A copy of your ID will be attached to the model release form. So, please bring your state issued ID and/or passport with you.
Cancellations:
If by any chance you cannot make it for any reason, please call, text, or e-mail me within 24 hours.
If you are scheduled to work with me, and you don’t call to cancel the session, and don’t show up, you most likely won’t be considered for any possible re-scheduling. I can understand any problem and we can always work towards rescheduling. But again, the type of model who is not serious or just does not care is certainly not the model I am interested in working with. So please, be responsible and don’t waste your time or good name. This is very simple, just call in advance to re-schedule the shoot.
Escorts:
Feel free to bring someone else though it is not required. Check my reference and see that you will be safe.
If you still feel that you need an escort. Only 1 person will be allow to come with you. Please "Do Not Show Up With A Mob". I must also insist that your escort not be a male. No boyfriends, no male cousins, no male managers, no male agent. No males, period! I really cant overstate how very much I dont want to have to play Dr. Phil and facilitate a "relationship rescue" between any domestic combatants.
When accompanied by an escort, that person must not disturb the session. Any intention of disrupting the session will cause the immediate cancellation of the photo session with no refunds. Also if your escort damages or breaks anything. You will be charged for it.
That said, please dont think I am anti-escort. They can be a very useful source of comfort and creative input. I just dont like drama that can ensue if that function were to be misinterpreted.
If you are under 18 years old, please be aware to bring an adult (parent/guardian) with a valid state ID.
