Hi all! I am Veronykah H. aka Kandy! I am an aspiring plus size model born in Guyana raised & currently residing in Brooklyn, New York.
As a child I was always knee-deep in books and school work, as i grew older and came into myself, I realized that i had a passion for fashion. I know it sounds so cliche but it is true! While completing one of my BAs, specifically the one in Fashion Merchandizing at Howard University, I fell even more in love with the modeling aspect than anything. I was able to work behind the scenes dressing models and performing alterations, but I wanted more. From doing this i couldn't help but want to be in their shoes! Walking the runway, going on photo shoots, make-up, hair styles, clothes, I wanted to do it all! What sparked my interest even more was the fact that there was such a lack of "respect" for plus size models and there were such negative images towards the "average" size woman. Seeing this made me want to be a part of the movement, a part of the change. I want to show the world that women should be loved and praised no matter their size, shape, or color! Everybody is uniquely beautiful and their should be no limits to the word! Hopefully having my profile on this site will allow me to do just that, be a part of the movement!
I like to think of myself as a Defiance! I do not fit the mold! And I do not want to! With a reddish caramel complexion and blonde hair, I am pretty hard to miss. I want to be able to show the world that there shouldn't be a carbon copy beauty or a cookie cutter standard. Beauty is unique to every single person.

I do not have much experience and I am in the process of trying to build a portfolio, so TF*shoots are definitely wanted. I am however open to doing all types of shoots and working with all different types of photographers as well as models. I however am not willing to do nudity, so please do not ask. I am a bit short for runway, but i would definitely be interested in doing shows as well! I'm interested in doing anything commercial, editorial, glamour, artistic, fashion..etc.
