I'm Max: passionate, high energy, and a huge dork. I am serious about my art, but I like for a shoot to be more than just making pictures. Exploration, collaboration, and creativity are what drive my photography. I'm probably about 60% geek, 30% romantic, and 10% pure, unfiltered AWESOME... but don't take my word for it, feel free to contact references (see credits)!
I'm interested in any kind of photography I can get my lens on. Fashion, beauty, glamor, artistic, pinup, dressed up, tied up, whatever. If it sounds like I can't make up my mind, it's because I've decided not to settle in one place artistically. We should embrace change and learn as much as we can from it while it is still shiny and new.
If you are a model, stylist, or MUA with a vision or look you want realized, send me a message. I'm open to TFP/CD and I love to collaborate. I use a digital SLR. I'm reliable about getting TFP work to all participants quickly (usually have the first web-size edit up within a week). I do photoshop touchups. I do all my own stunts.
I've got a wife and mortgage (and now a baby!), so I can't afford to throw a lot of money around, but I can make a delicious curry or other sundry home cooked foodstuffs by way of compensation...
Just a heads up, I've got a day job to pay the bills, so it will be weekends and evenings only for me. Before you write me off as a poser, check my references. Photography is my passion, not just a fun hobby.
Project Ideas!
Sexy Scientist: Sort of thinking pinup style. Wardrobe - Glasses, hair in a bun, lab coat, overflowing button-up shirt, pencil skirt, high heels, makeup to bring out the lips. Know anyone with a set of beakers or bunson burner?
Mucha Experiment: Highly stylized portrait made to imitate an art nouveau lithograph. Pale and exaggerated makeup to make the face look 2 dimensional, robes or otherwise flowing clothing. A bit complex to try to fully explain here, but it would require extensive hair and makeup.
High Class: I've found that, if you are nice, sometimes fancy vinyards and hotels will let you take pictures in their opulent lobbies and reading rooms... the perfect locations for super-fancy ballroom gowns and the like. This would be a lot of hair and makeup work along with fancy clothes. Like, bustles and pearls fancy...
Cyber-Punk: If William Gibson or Ghost In The Shell are your style and you've got some tight fitting latex or leather, then let's talk. This would be heavy on wardrobe and maybe some fx makeup (skin-jacks and things like that).
Pinups: Pinups are awesome. We should make some.
