I make sculptures paintings and ceramics, and also write poetry, and use models in all these media, including the poetry! I'm listed as a 'photographer' since I date from the days when 'fine artist' did not appear as a choice . . . maybe it does now, though I see that isn't possible to change. I do however take photographs, more on that later.
That being said I do use models, for my paintings, sculptures and ceramics. While I'm painting, a model can earn a decent rate from me, as I usually pay $25 an hour and tip something, for three or four hours work.
My work on pots is quicker, and needs to be fast and inspired. For this I need people who'll come and model, clothed and nude, for an intense hour or two of work. For this I can pay $20 an hour. I'm putting that out there, well aware that I won't have many takers. There's not much money in pots, but hey, the work is fun, pleasant, and low key. I need people who have a big variety of crazy costumes and hats, and wants to see their different looks rendered on pottery. Will do all kinds of trade, if you have some spare time.
I'm extremely productive as an artist, and have a huge amount of work. Write if you want to see more, I'll send you pictures. I also take great photographs, have the lights and everything, and can help pay for modeling with good photos. Ask to see some examples.
I'm slowly getting this profile in shape . . . I'm not one to spend a lot of time taking pics of my own work . . please forgive . . .
The paintings here are based in part on mythological study of the ancient Muse . . . not the Muse of Hollywood . . . or even her 9 supposed Greek granddaughters . . . but the actual Goddess that struck fear in the hearts of men . . . long before the invention of metals. I do these works as part of a ritual that produces both paintings and poetry. The model plays an important role . . it involves getting a bit of acrylic paint on you . . .
Previous friends and work associates, come back out of the dark and let's work again!
