Artisto was born out of the need to freely express creativeness without constraint of commercialization. Behind that name is a talented and successful engineer who can “afford” to be an artist. Having graduated with Honours Bachelor degree in Engineering Physics, he works full time as a research engineer in one of the Canada’s top science and engineering labs. Artisto is no stranger to the world of digital imaging. In his early days, he specialized in optics and digital sensors; since then, he has also mastered X-ray and gamma imaging, ultrasound and infrared imaging. With all those tools at his disposal, he’s major free time investment is a pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Imaging. His thesis work focuses on developing a multimodal imaging technique that has a potential to help improve early diagnosis of breast cancer. Remaining free time is spent on international travel, learning languages, Latin dances, sports and hanging around with friends. When asked about reasons to undertake his creative journey, Artisto likes to quote A. Carroll: “Beauty is an unending source of joy for the one who knows how to discover it.”
