I take photos. For me, the process ends as the shutter cliks. Things have to be set beforehand. No alterations, no removing or adding. Even though there are many things that can be done later, for me it's basically too late. Portrait is an image of a person. Portraying of what THEY are doing and who they are. The light has been captured. And the reproduction of that is what I want to show to people. I might do the same things I did in the darkroom when shooting on film. No more. Some like it. I hope you are amongst them, too.
I shoot solely for my personal enjoyment. To balance the world of contracts, financing issues, etc that I stay in otherwise.
I have done portraits for about 22 years. Every new person is a bit of challenge. I avoid studios as much as possible. Natural surroundings give just so much more life to a photo. As you can see, I seldomly use flashes.
Feel free to write to me on any subject related to the pictures here or the ones that are to be taken. I shall respond and do not consider chatting a waste of my time. I am here on my spare time, anyway.
