I like to separate myself from the crowd by not partaking, at all, in the style which is rampant here on MM. It drives me mad how diluted art has become by insisting a nude model with a grungy background is so deep. I also refuse the juxtapose for the sake of juxtaposing, which is basically all art is today. I'm not "edgy", "pushing the envelope", "over the top", or whatever new fancy lingo you model industry people have. After so much time being an artist, you get to a point where you realize by being edgy, you're forcing yourself to be something you're not naturally. Unless you're quite mad in the head, a real artist puts who they are in their work. Let's face it, the most brilliant artists ARE themselves.
