Perpetually fascinated by people and culture heightened by travel and her Eurasian heritage, Boadicea, currently a Melbourne-based creative, constantly aims to achieve culturally and environmentally conscious projects — challenging the boundaries of creativity, in particular photography and film.
Every subject comprises of many elements and influences - thus shoots her work with a desire to not only understand the subject on a profound level - but to draw on many influences in her own practise; her photographic work draws heavily on her other areas of practise in art, design and film. Whether it is 'art' or a purely commercial brief, Boadicea works with a strong belief that "people want to be moved." She produces her work with the intention to appeal to the viewer on an emotional level or often immersing them into fantasy - simultaneously.
Though human interest photography is a major focus of her work, she is advocate to the notion that contrasting fields of creativity can inform and enhance one another; therefore aspiring towards creative direction of projects unifying disciplines in art, design, film and photography.
