Alex Flores (1984) grew up in Miami, FL and later on in Los Angeles, CA, where his artistic aspirations were nurtured from a very young age. It was not only the vast amount and variety of different art forms in these
cities that ignited his need to contribute back to the art community, but also the presence of working artists in his own family that inspired and pushed him to take on the challenge of drawing, painting and eventually his greatest passion to date: Photography.

In 2005 Alex moved to New Orleans, LA to help the victims of hurricane Katrina, dropping his main focus on working his way up as an artist and a photographer in the Los Angeles area. After a year spent in helping out to re-build the devastated community that Katrina had left behind, he decided to pursue his ambitions once again, but this time in a completely new environment and out of his comfort zone: New England. For four years Alex braved the chilly NH weather ... And in 2010 he moved back to sunny California.

Not only does he wish to record life and people living in it through a lens, but he wishes for the pictures he takes to communicate. His photography describes the roles, and relations to our surroundings, and what it takes every day to survive in this world.

"Photography is about storytelling, and I'm here to find individuals, models/hair-and makeup artists/other photographers, with a strong need to be a part of that story".
