About MeWelcome Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by. I started doing photography on a hobbyist level since around 2006, and began shooting local models in 2008. I was active until around 2011, and semi-active through 2013, but I then took a long hiatus due to both financial and creative drought.
In addition to Photography; I have been making Short Films since 2003, and working on Music projects since 2010. I have hosted several Podcasts over the years, and In 2013; I started my YouTube channel: emperorcorndog. Those have all become huge parts of my life, and now I look to bring my love of photography back into the fold in a big way.
I have always wanted to pursue my photography on a more serious and frequent basis, and thanks to a much needed regeneration of creative energy and some new gear; I am now excited to get back into the mix; and I've got a somewhat new outlook and approach that I want to take going forward.
Previously I was primarily doing very basic, and open-form shoots. Now, I really want to start expanding into new territory. Some styles I really want to explore include Light Erotic Boudoir, Lingerie/Bikini, Mild Fetish, Psychedelic, Experimental, Cosplay, and Role-Play/Theme shoots.
Regarding content; I want to make it clear that I have my limits, and respect those of any models I shoot with. I definitely draw my line at pornographic images (spread/penetration) as while I have no issues with that type of content externally; I believe it violates the integrity of what I want to do creatively. In that respect; I think what I really want to do is more suggestive than explicit; and I see mine and my models' limits being less as boundaries, and more as avenues to find more creative ways to express the story of the image to the viewer.
That being said: My goals with photography include developing proficiency as a photographer, and diversifying my output as much as I can while still striving to find a signature style.
I generally prefer to shoot on Film. I not only love the classic look, but also the discipline that the less forgiving format fortifies me with. I personally believe the essence of photography happens in the camera, and not on the computer. This is why I generally like to avoid photoshopping my images. While I have photoshopped some of my work previously; I tend to think the need to post-production editing and manipulation suggests a lackluster composition in the first place. So I really want to keep everything I do as raw and natural as possible going forward.
I hope to build a new body of work, and enjoy meeting some fabulous creative people in the process. This is all about having fun, and creating compelling imagery for me. If you are interested in working with me; Than I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you again for visiting my page, and I hope you enjoy the contents herein.
